We are delighted to welcome Mother Catherine E. Carpenter as our new Special Rector-In-
Charge. Since her ordination in 2012, she has served as Rector of Grace Episcopal Church inBaldwinsville, NY 2015-present) and Assisting Priest at St. James Episcopal Church in Minneapolis (2012-2015). We look forward to the arrival of Mo. Cathy and her husband, Jonathan Holmer mid-June.
Mo. Cathy is passionate about preaching and our liturgy. She is committed to Christian formation and education, with certifications in Godly Play and Congregational Development.
She is dedicated to pastoral care, helping the individual identify where God might be foun
through the lens of their own resources and experience. She believes in community engagement
and working with other congregations to do ministry together.
As a Database Coordinator andAnalyst prior to ordination, she is a skilled administrator with broad technological knowledge.A native of New Jersey, she has a B.A. in Philosophy from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN and M.Div. from General Theological Seminary in New York, New York. She served as Dean of the Oswego-Northern Onondaga District of the Diocese of Central New York and on the Board of the Foundation of the Diocese of Central New York from 2017-2022.
