Mother Cathy came to St. Andrew’s and the Diocese of Northern Indiana in 2023 from the Diocese of Central New York where she served as rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Baldwinsville, New York for 8 years. She was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Minnesota in 2012. A native of New Jersey, she moved to Minnesota for college, majoring in theatre, then found employment in mortgage banking information technology. Acquiring a husband (Jonathan Holmer), a house, cats, and a great deal of lay-leader experience along the way, and finally realizing that not everyone is quite so fond of church, she finished the B.A. (in philosophy this time) at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, followed by the M.Div. from the General Theological Seminary in New York City. Her particular areas of interest include liturgy, preaching, church history, congregational development and formation. Some of her hobbies and other interests include cooking, local history, and reading fiction.
