              Feast of Lessons & Carols
The Feast of Lessons & Carols in the Anglican tradition began in 1878 and was formalized as a Christmas service in 1880 by the Bishop of Truro, later Archbishop of Canterbury, Edward Benson. An Advent version of the service – normally carried out as a procession with lessons and carols – developed slightly later at King’s College in Cambridge, and is now celebrated around the world.
St. Andrew’s will celebrate this unique annual worship service on Sunday, Dec. 16th @ 10am.  This service celebrates Christ’s coming to lead the world from darkness to light and recalls hope for the advent (coming) of the Messiah.
There will be alternating scripture Readings with several familiar Advent carols from our hymnal.  Please plan to attend this joyous worship service
