The Season of Epiphany

Welcome to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church as we celebrate the season called “Epiphany”!   The word “Epiphany” refers to the manifestation or revelation of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to the whole world.   The season began as wise men, obediently following a star, came from the east to worship the new born king.  After kneeling in worship before Jesus, they presented Him their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.  Transformed by their experience of the Savior of the world, they went back to their own country “by another road”.

We invite you to follow the star which will lead you to Christ.  Our hope is that, as you come to worship Him and present to Him your unique gifts, you will be changed forever.  Transformed by the Epiphany of the Savior, you can go forth by “another road”.  Our sermon series during this season will provide practical advice about how a relationship with Christ can help you stay on that road that leads to life and joy.

This season of light will eventually lead us to the cross and the season of Lent which begins February 14th. Our prayer for you is that this season of Epiphany will reveal Christ to you in a new and powerful way and inspire you to journey through life by “another road”.
